Processing technician

Summary of the Role

Reporting to the Extraction Manager, the Processing Technician shall assist in the preparation and/or milling of cannabis for extraction. We are looking for a strong team player who works well with others, follows SOPs and is skilled in good documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Carries out post-harvest-processing of cannabis safely and efficiently, complying with all SOPs and regulations
• Operates and maintains a milling machine and the milling room
• Performs post-process quality assurance testing and conducting visual inspections to ensure the product meets or exceeds quality standards
• Transports of post-processed cannabis between production environments in a sanitary manner
• Perform and accurately document all work done as directed in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Records and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) including inventory management through inventory control systems
• Participate in the sanitation of the milling room; including appropriate disposal of waste biomass
• Re-stocking of materials as required
• Willingness to maintain an open mind and learn new techniques
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
    • Experience working with GLP, GPP or GMP will be considered an asset.
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment
    • Capable of following strict processes and procedure, with the ability to work with minimal supervision quickly and accurately
    • Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
    • Operates Safety Sensitive Equipment as trained and/or licenced
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel or MS Office.
    • Must obtain satisfactory background check
